Default 0 to 60 acceleration

I would like to know what 0 to 60 acceleration numbers you guys are getting. And what modifications you have done

I have a bone stock 1992 LS 400 with 146,000 miles on it

My 0 to 60 is around 9.4 seconds.

Altitude 3800 ft. Temp 60 degrees

Is this about right for a 92 at this altitude?

So according to the link it should be 8.2 seconds but I am at 3800 ft how much would you loose at this altitude? I know when I am at sea level the cars fell much better

I found a neat calculator for horsepower loss per altitude.

http://www.slowgt.com/Calc2.htm#BasAltCal

So according to this calculator at 3800 feet I only have 208 if my sea level horsepower is 240

Yeah I was talking engine. So if the rwhp is 180 at sea level then I have 156 at 3800 ft

So 9.4 is about right? Or is my car not running right? What modifications have you done to get a low 6 second number?

My 94 seems like a tortoise compared to the 2001 LS430 I occasionally drive.
Between the increased hp & improved Tranny it is much more powerful, to the point of making it hard to drive smoothly when I first transition.

God damn, the 430 feels so good on acceleration.. I haven't felt the 460 yet.. The 430 is the first car they actually geared for decent acceleration off the line.. My 1998 hits like 45 in first gear.. the car is meant to be cruised, not mashed... my dads 430 ****ing SPRINTS off the line, dumps first at like 35..

that post is inaccurate, 93-94 first gens had a slight performance upgrade that was reflected in their 0-60 times.
