One of my brothers cars had a rattle due to crappy rubber bushing in upper mount.
Many threads I have read (on toyota avalon my other car) people have had problems with upper mount nuts loosening causing rattles and they had to retighten them.
What about the quality of the rubber they used does it look good?

A follow up to the Arnott coilover installation...
I installed the front Arnott coilovers this weekend on my 91LS. They ride great! I'd say they are identical to the OEM. I didn't get to the rears, probably next weekend. I had one small problem. The three threaded bolts that go up through the fenders to bolt the top of the coilovers in were off by about 1/16 of an inch. It took a little persuasion to get all three studs through the fender well holes. Other than that, I highly recommend them at this point.

I recently installed a set of KYB GR2's on all four corners. The local installer I used botched the lower bushings by not re-installing the springs correctly. Long story short, they are going to pay for replacement struts, and not being happy with the KYB ride, I am thinking of paying the difference and getting the Arnott's. Thanks for your feedback, I just want my Lexus ride back.

Just had Arnott coil overs installed. Went for a short ride around town looking for bumps and potholes. I have a small rattle felt through the steering wheel when encountering sharp bumps. It was present before the change to the Arnott's. Have already changed strut rod cushions. Any ideas? Will take a two hour road trip this weekend to get a feel of how she performs on the highway. So far the car seems to handle much more like the factory ride. So long log truck, I mean KYB's.

Sway bar links/bushings? My mechanic friend mentioned those as a likely culprit when I asked him about my front end clunking/rattling. I think it's mostly the strut rod bushings for me, but since it wasn't for you, I'd try replacing those links and/or bushings.
