go de-badge looks cleaner anyway.
I learned a cool trick to remove. First Flathead screw driver BAD. I think we all knew that.
Try using Fishing line to remove and a little goo gone and wax to remove the glue.

Heat from a hair dryer can help to soften the adhesive for removal too. When installing, prep the surface by cleaning the area with mineral spirits or denatured alcohol.
I added the LS400 emblem to the right rear of my 1st gen two years ago, but i didn't want to drill any holes. I used a dremel to cut off the protruding stubs and just used the adhesive. Its been on for two years without any problems.

Yes, the hair dryer is a great idea. Also, use a plastic paint scraper. It's like a metal razor only plastic. You can get one at any paint shop. This will allow you to scrape the old emblem off without damaging the car. I did this on a Z28 I had. Removed the Z28 badge and added a SS instead. You could never tell I replaced them.
