go look on the VIP section of the site, apparently some Japanese guys did it. Looked weird.

Also, a 95 with a 98 face was in the autotrader classifieds a few months ago. I called and asked them why the car looked like two different years, and they said it was a "custom job". I cry foul,...they probably had a huge front end wreck and decided to customize it then.

95-00 share a common basic chassis, so you can literally just bolt-on the fenders, hood, headlights, and bumper from a '98-00 to a '95-97 and it will mostly look alright as the proportions are the same.

but yeah, given the cost, probably done post front-end collision.

in japan you used to be able to (and may still be able to) get fiberglass conversion kits, which where made to bolt onto the '89-94 ucf1x cars and give them the '95-97, '98-00, and even 01-04/06 UCF3x front ends.

mind you, they still look out of proportion.

I don't know how he did it but it doesn't look out if proportion. It actually looks really good.

It has been done before here in US and quite a bit in Japan. I do not think it is out of proportion either. Just do not over do it.

notice the massive fender flares/widebody and the VERY aggressive rando front bumper.

that's how it doesnt look out of proportion, his car is visually much larger than a stock body or even mildly kitted 1st gen.
