No, the wires being pinched was "not" the problem - that only prevented it from starting on Monday morning. Even after the OEM wires were put back on, it was still running on 3 cylinders. Then they started validating and changing parts, which is where its is now. Running on 7 cylinders but can't figure out why #7 is not firing.
The shop is on my way home, so I will check this evening on it.

Still no resolution on this car. Shop kept the car for a week and didn't/couldn't fix it. They keep the car for a week and obviously was giving other cars priority after the initial 2 days of troubleshooting. They did replace the LH cam sensor and put the original wires back on the car (they said they tested fine) and validated the timing. They couldn't resolve the firing problem.
So I am done dealing with the car and my son is going to be handling this issue from now on. He is suppose to take it to another shop that he knows of.
Anyway, my post for today is concerning this part I found in my toolbox. it looks like a terminator of some sort, but I can't remember if it came off the LS400, and if so - where does it go. I am hoping its the cause of all of our problems (big wish) LOL.
Thanks for all of your support

Oh man, I was following this post closely hoping for some resolution. I'm having the exact same problem I think. Changed TB and other misc things and have had trouble ever since. Messing with this LS400 has become my part-time job.

UPDATE - Problem Resolved !!!
My son moved to Chattanooga, TN and took the car to a shop there. They had the car for 1 hr and determined what the problem was and resolved it.
a). Replaced fuel filter (badly clogged)
b.) cleaned fuel injectors
Said the car is running better than when we first bought the car!!! I was very happy to have some closure on this issue - FINALLY.
