Default same issue with my car

Get it fixed asap....if you find out the root cause let me know too. my 98 ls400 started off the EXACT same way. did the minor stuff such as trans fluid/filter change and it improved for a week or so but didnt fully fix the problem. when i say improved i mean that the delay wasnt as long so i kept on driving....bad move....problem is now worse. the delay doesnt go away until i give it a lil gas (sometimes a lot) and even then it takes a while (in drive or reverse) although reverse doesnt seem to be as bad. either way...hope you find the problem soon and please pass on whatever you find as well.

after searching in google i found a useful link where some one had exact same problem and he solved the Trany delayed forward engagement by
http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/...ad.php?t=87708
I posted a couple of weeks back about owning a 99 Leggie OBW with AT trouble. It had the cursed delayed forward engagement. I drained the ATF, and refilled with Amsoil synthetic ATF, and a can of Trans-X AT slip-stop & leak fix. After 10 minutes of driving the car, the problem was fixed. I don't know if the Amsoil or the Trans-X, or the combination of both, but whatever, the problem is gone. The Trans-X is advertised to swell seals. The car now shifts promptly into Drive after shifting from Reverse when stopped. Before, I had to wait as long as 5 to 10 seconds for the car to shift into Drive mode, while slightly revving the engine. What a PITA that was. My wife was on my back big time to sell the car. I feel like I dodged buying a wy trany, if I kept the car......
Life is good. I am happy!!

Thanks to all, who offered advise!
What you guys think? should i try the same SOLUTION?

I think it may work temporarily but not long term unless it is a clogged solenoid and the cleaning agent in tranx broke it down so that it cleaned out the filters. Potentially other risks but if your convinced that its wear and you need to replace/rebuild then go for it
