you need to tell us WHICH FUSES you replaced, not their amp ratings. look on the panel/cover for the fusebox...

My guess is that kelley initially reversed the cables and blew them.

Avalon, can you explain the disarming sequence a little bit? I have similar problem (no power) in a 96. The car has been sitting for a while (just purchased it as a parts car), and I just have the valet key + remote (but not the master, which I plan to get at a Lexus dealer soon). Thanks.

What massive fusible link failure can we direct this person to that would allow nothing to work but the starter (the immobilizer feature would kill the starter, no? I could almost see the fusible links at the top of the photograph.
I find it utter impossible to follow this stream of consciousness woitrh trhe rely gud speeling that werks accepot when it dosnt.

Follow stuart's instructions from this thread.

kelley, you needed to have added that tidbit when you bridged the positive and negative terminals in the beginning. Nevertheless, after replacing the fuses and checking continuity on the mains, go ahead and follow stuart's sequence and let us know.

Okay I only have 1 key and it don't open the doors only turns the car over and opens the trunk but I cant get that open if I have no power. But Like Amskeptic said (the immobilizer feature would kill the starter, But it turns over so I don't think it's that, What main fuses in the main box do i look for? Like what ones in my photo?

Avalon, thanks for the link to disarming sequence. Does it also apply to 95-97 as well? (the poster of that forum was asking about a 91).

Kelley, there is no power at all. No lights, buzz, bells, etc... I figure it is either a bad battery, bad connection to the battery (the negative is lose), or some immobilizer. Anyhow, will connect a portable jump start battery pack to it tomorrow to see if I get any accessories to come on.

Kinda OT, but worth mentioning. I have owned LS400s since 2002 and have read forum thread after forum thread. This is the first time I have ever heard of a LS400 blowing a headgasket.

Guess anything is possible. First time for everything.

I missed the part where you said it turns. So you turn, and there is fuel and spark? Perhaps a crankshaft or camshaft sensor that's off?

Okay, I have power now Instrument Cluster, tail lights, head lights. It was the fuselink that blew "120AMP" one. It runs great but when I put water in the WaterOutlet it leaks between transmission and flywheel why would it do that?. it gets alittle hot but that's because its leaking but my coolant gauge stays in the middle the whole time, it was not doing this after the head gaskets blew and I had the heads tested and shaved ect....

pressure test it, and try and see were the fluid is coming from exactly. it could jus be dripping onto the trans from the top and something could have been left undone.

You mean from The back waterbypass? I would think I could see/feel the water coming from that spot right?

well check it out, u said u can see it drippin, you have to find the root. it should come from some place visible, it wouldnt leak coolant from between the motor and trans so something is dripping onto it
