I have the same problem, but mines is a 1990 Lexus LS....

I can drive my vehicle with no problem. The interior lights, dash, radio, heater, etc. will not turn on. Also, my exterior lights, trunk, hood, etc. will not open. I noticed that the hazard lights work, but nothing else electrical work.

I replaced the alternator and I was told it was an electrical problem that is causing the alternator to drain.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?

(I am going to see an electrical Automotive technician tomorrow if I find out I will let you know)

Check the alternator fuse. It should be a white one with the sight glass on top. 120a. Did you disconnect the battery when you replaced the alternator. I learned my lesson. Anytime I do any electical work, I'll disconnet the battery from now on.
