I just did this to my 94 and it shifts pretty firm now even with the cable adjusted properly. I guess I need to change all my mounts too? I don't think they were ever changed.
I drove it the next morning and had the same issue. When I got to work I adjusted the cable to come right at the edge of the rubber stopper and it was shifting perfect during the ride out to lunch. After that I had a coil go out right as I was leaving work the same day (yesterday). I fixed it this morning and all seems well now. It still shifts nicely, but I know with the mounts replaced it will be at 100%.
Moral of the story is, everyone with a UCF10/11 should check the adjustment if they haven't yet.
