Do you know anyone that works at a Lexus dealership? Or have a friend that does>??
I have a buddy that does and I called him to say hello. I was without a car [Scion XB was totaled the week before] Not expecting anything I asked if he had anything cheap used on his lot as I was looking for a car. He said as a matter of fact he was looking at a 97 LS400 that was being traded in and it would be going to auction as it was too old to sell at the Lexus dealership. The plus here is it was Lexus serviced it's whole life and I have a printout of everything done with date and milieage. A big plus in my mind and I paid 6000 for it with 140000 miles. Maybe you could go to a dealer and intercept a trade in car that would be going to auction and have a history to boot. The funny part is since I bought a car at a Lexus dealership [cheap!] I am treated like I bought a new one. I can go in anytime I want as many times as I want ,,,give them the keys and tell them to hand wash and vacume the car,,I then go to the lounge and have a free lunch or breakfast,,they then page me when the car is ready and I drive off all for free ,,,,,LOL!!!

i know it has been a while and the thread is getting a little old. Anyway, some new info.
Have been searching for the last 6 months and no luck![Frown](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
One thing suprised me thought, the price of old LS is going higher for whatever reason. If you go back to my 1st post, they are less then $10K for most. Right now, I see $10K, to $14999 for old LS OMG, with ~80 to 150K+ miles. I have no idea what happened.
one reasonable 01 LS430 (base model 98K miles) from Acura was going for $12999 but gone.
I guess I will have to keep waiting and waiting....
