1991 Lexus LS400 Pingind and Jerking Badly
Hi, I just did a mayor tune up on my 1991 Ls400, spark plugs, wires, cap's & rotor's air filter and fuel filter. I re-checked the firing order and is fine. When I start the car the check engine and track off light goes on and stay on, now when I drive it can't go over 40 mph because it start pinging bad like if it is out of timing also it jerk,s too like if running out of gas. There is a connector with a magnet like square hanging below the driver/left side dist cap and wires cover on the out side, can you tell me what it is. Thank you in advance to the forum and all of you.

Can't really help you to identify the connector you are talking about but it would be easier to help narrow down your problem if you can say what trouble codes you have. See lexls.com on how to get it,

The connector hanging down is supposed to be mounted to the bracket right under the metal coolant line that mounts to the front drivers side cam cover. The code 13 refers to the passenger side cam sensor. Its probley pinched or disconnected from the tune up. Check that first

I couldn't get back to my car until today due to my job. Anyway today I removed the cam sensor #2 and there is no signs of pinched wire and/or bad connection, I also checked continuity and is fine. You guys think that is the cam sensor it self? Thank you in advance.
