Default To Paint or Not To Paint

1995 Ebony Teal Pearl with grey two tone.
I'm not really diggin the tow tone and want to paint the grey to match the rest of the car. I believe the car has been painted as in some lights and in some directions I can see little bits of orange peal so it's not OEM paint so I wont be changing a rare color car.
These guys make the paint to match OEM 6N9

What are your thoughts on matching the two tone to the rest of the main color. It is also very close to my Land Cruiser color (Dark Emerald Pearl) and it has brown bumpers I want to paint also. If I get 12 or more cans I get 10% discount on the paint.

12 cans of spray paint would go fast with all the surface area that needs to be covered properly.

Please don't use spray can paint. It's only good it's temporary. I would first contact one of those mobile bumper repair buys and get a quote. They actually use good material and have become more reasonable in pricing.

Even if it never sees rain or snow and I sand, prime, and clear coat it? I've done it before on bumpers(only in black). I contacted my local paint places and its 300-400 per bumper/panel.

When you were talking about cans, I thought you meant these:

This didn't even cross my mind

I would never do it that way

Why not get a paint spray gun and a quart of paint instead of using 12 spray cans? The color would come out a lot nicer with the spray gun too.

Paying a good body shop to do it will reward you long term. They'll get it done faster and the spray will be consistent. The rattle can jobs seldom last and the finish isn't that good typically.

You might even consider having it the bottom wrapped instead, maybe a matte black.

You could end up with a bunch of cracked paint on the lower half of your car in six months if you go with the rattle cans. The plastic bumpers and lower cladding expand and contract more than steel panels. Rattle can / single part paint isn't able to expand and contract enough to accommodate this over time. You really need to go with a PPG or similar two part paint with catalyst. To save some money you could do all of the prep work yourself then take it to a body shop for the spray.
