CEL and TRACoff
'93 LS400, ~140k miles.
Yesterday on my way home from work my TRACoff and CE lights turned on. When I drove to work last night, they were still on. The car does not sound any different, nor have I had any issues with it in quite some time.
My only suspicion is the alternator, it has been on the way out for quite a while now, and I suspect it has finally kicked it. However, I used to own a '90 and when the alternator failed it lit up every dash light, not just the CEL and TRACoff. Did they change the dash indications from '90 to '93?
Only other thing I can think of that would logically trip those two lights would be the TPS.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

It could be the MAF sensor. (Does the UCF10 even have one of those?)
When I was cleaning my intake and I forgot to plug my MAF sensor back in, it ran real rough and I got a CEL and the TRAC light on.

I suppose it's possible that it's the MAF. Yes, UCF10s do have them
It is not running rough though, nor have I touched the MAF in months. I was hoping there'd be an easy answer "CEL+TRACoff indicates ______". Oh well, i'll have to pull the codes I guess.

Check the MAF plug. I have mine unhooked b/c it runs alot better that way. (Untill I fix the problem it has) Both my lights are on also with it unhooked. When my MAF is plugged in it runs like *****.

Someone also told me it could be my O2 sensors that are causing my problem of no power under load and it feels like a skip at a steady speed. I haven't gotten around to checking all my sensors. Eventually I'm gonna check every sensor in the car. (Just to see what everything reads)

Got to pull the codes---- CEL goes off when TRAC goes off, which is what this is. Mine did same and problem was accumulator was losing pressure, causing pump to cycle a lot, thus the TRAC light. When TRAC goes off, it automatically does CEL.
pull the codes to figure if it's engine or TRAC.
