I had a plane ticket for flying to Vancouver tomorrow morning.

Just to be safe and thorough, this morning I paid for an ICBC claims history report for the vehicle. In 2002 there was a $1500 collision claim for damage made to the right front of the vehicle.

I contacted the owner about it and the damage occurred during the previous owner's (two owner vehicle) ownership. The present owner had told me that the vehicle had never had damage, but, even to this day, he was unaware of what had happened while the previous owner owned the car.

$1500 does not repair much damage - probably just the bumper - but, nevertheless, it caused me to lower my offer to one that the owner would not accept.

End of story on this vehicle. (Too bad, I was looking forward to driving the car back to Edmonton from Vancouver.)

Now I'll concentrate my search for a newer, low-mile, "like new" vehicle. Any major issues with '99 or '00 LS400s?
