Need Roof Racks / Cross Bars for 2nd Gen LS400
I've searched everywhere and can't find roof racks for my '96 LS400. I need to carry surfboards and have been temporarily using soft racks which are flimsy and loud on the freeway.
I contacted Thule and Yakima, and neither company makes roof racks for the second gen UCF20.
Does anybody have roof racks on their second gen LS 400?

Roof racks have been available for the LS from Lexus dealers in the UK and Europe and probably other countries since the very beginning. The attached photo is of the roof rack currently sold by U.K. Lexus dealers for the current LS. I don't know but you might still be able to buy a roof rack for your LS400 from a U.K Lexus dealer although it will probably be quite expensive to buy and have it shipped. I bought accessories back in the early 1990's by phone from Park Lane Lexus in London -- you can find their contact information through the Lexus UK website.
I suspect if you look around, you might find a roof rack that will work on your LS even though it is not be advertised to fit. I used roof racks on several cars in the 1970s -- cars with and without rain gutters -- and none of the racks I used were specifically for those cars. I've got an old Yakama roof rack in the basement that would probably fit my 00 LS400 if it had longer cross bars.

They advertise in Mountain Bike Action. Kind of pricey. Anyone had any experience with them?
