There are no other lights on ...like Check engine light or ABS...etc.

I just have a SOLID red light beside the odometer and where the odometer is there reads a message 'Check VSC'.

I've searched this forum and I've seen people saying everything from faulty wheel sensor to bad O2 sensor to ETC...lol

I'm wondering has anyone had this message and solved it?

I just had the codes read today: 0 errors

Thanks so much
I have the same problem with my 1999 LS400. Check VSC Light on and ABS. Mechanic told me was some kind of steering control valve sensor. Were you able to sort yours out? And how?

I own a 98 LS400 and for several years, I would occasionally get the check VSC light. I would normally follow the owner's manual instructions by disconnecting the battery and then reconnect and follow the manual instructions. About a month ago, I got the VSC light again and it would not go away after the procedure. Also, the emergency brake red light stayed on. I just found out what the problem was... I needed to ad brake fluid as I was running low. Problem solved!

I don't think that's fixed - I am quite concerned for you about why the level became low in the first place. Is there a leak in the system?

As brake pads wear, the fluid level becomes lower. So without any leaking problem, the level goes down as you drive. You have to add the brake fluid time to time especially those who drive the urban area often.

I thought they made the brake fluid reservoir big enough so that wouldn't cause a low-level alarm during regular use? If it's some ****ty old old car sure, but not our beloved Lexus.

I would still very much want to make sure there isn't some other cause.
