I have owned my 1990 Lexus Ls400, with 108,00 for about six months now and have been doing some rutine maintenance, such and the power steering pump, brakes and rotors, air filter plugs and wires. Now im about to change the timing belt and water pump, I figure while im ripping it apart I could slightly upgrade the cams at the same time. I dont want anything to extreme, since Im planning on keeping the stock internals, and ecu, at least for now. Basically Ive had the Lextreme Stage II cams or the kelford 207-C cams in mind. I figured before I make up my mind I could search around on some lexus forums to see what other people have tried, however I havent been able to find much info on the non vvt 1uz's. I still would like this to be my daily driver, im not planning on taking this to the track anytime soon, so im just looking for some slightly more agressive cams. Hope this makes sense, and thanks for any input.

Not going to find too much information on this issue since,,

1. Most lexus owners don't bother to upgrade the cams.
2. The 1UZ motor,in general, is a VERY expensive motor to mod and there is VERY little
aftermarket suport to do so. I have read where alot of the owners on the Supra forums have started to REALY crack this motor open to see what kind of power that they can yield from it however, it is still mostly just trial and error.

Yeah I kind of figured that since ive been searching for information on the possible upgrades for the 1uz for the last few weeks and havent been able to find a whole lot of information. But thanks for the reply, any information helps, even if its information about the lack of information.. if that makes sense.
