Steering Hard And gets Harder while driving
#18
This has been taken from the lexus repair manual:
Hard steering
1. Tires (Improperly inflated)
2. Power steering fluid level (Low)
3. Drive belt (Loose)
4. Front wheel alignment (Incorrect)
5.Steering system joints (Worn)
6.Suspension arm ball joints (Worn)
7.Steering column (Binding)
8.Power steering gear
9.PPS system
Now I will attach the Power steering gear layout as this could be the likely suspect here
Anymore help PM me

I second the mention of checking the ball joints
Check the ball joints. My lower ball joint recently separated from itself. Luckily I was sitting in my parking space at work when it happened. I couldn't imagine what would have happened if I was driving.
Anyhow, I recently bought some replacements and the steering is now buttery smooth again. Before it broke I would have stiff steering, which would sometimes smooth out. Just before it broke, there was a terrible creaking coming from that side of the car... then *snap*!
Good luck.
