Oh ok I got you now, yea I agree, paint is the best way, just get that surface sanded nice and smooth, prime, bondo anything if its needed prime again sand and paint. Itll turn out better!

So I should do it in that order?

1. Wet Sand
2. Prime
3. Bondo
4. Prime
5. Wet Sand
and then paint it?

It's gonna be this spray paint that my cousin says is good for cars. I'm not sure what brand he's gonna get, but do you know any to recommend?

I'm also thinking of doing 3-4 coats of paint, so it really sticks to it.

Also, I'm wanting to fix my leather seats and two-tone it. Know any kind of spray paint that will do the job?

I don't remember you saying you did any maintenance to the car after you got it. Oil change, all fluids, tune up, timing belt, air filter? If you haven't done these things yet you should spend your funds on these necessities first, or the car will look all pretty in the shop! LOL! Also they may have put the wrong fluid in the power steering reservoir.

Possibly. I didn't take it to a shop cause everything was running fine. A light did go on though. It was an orange outline of the car with the tail lights on. Not sure what it means, cause I can't find my manual!

I reached a dilemma. I don't know how to take off the bumpers. I want to spray paint the bottom half of my car, but I'm worried that the paint will drip? I donno. I gotta test it out tomorrow and see what happens.

About the power steering: Check the p/s pump for any leakages. If it's wet underneath the p/s fluid will drip into the alternator causing more leakage in the form of ~ $225 for a new alternator (plus the money for rebuilding/changing the p/s pump, some $250 or so).
Btw: The p/s pump is on the front right of the engine, right above the ...

So, I painted my car. It's not the most amazing paint job, its pretty average. Probably from a scale of 0-10, its like a 5, maybe a 6. From the distance, it looks really good, but when you're about 3 feet away, you'll notice some imperfections. But the way I see it, I'm giving this car to my dad in a year or two, and as long as he likes it (which he does), then I'm happy.

Besides, it is such a huge improvement from what it was before! I'll post some pics up tomorrow.

There will be holes behind the LEXUS and L logo. Be sure to get the logos from the exact same age. 89-92 and 92-94 are not the same. Only a little difference in the logos itselves, but the wholes are not in the same places. Dont know why Lexus did that.
