yah i actually wanted to see how much a dealer would give me for the car. but on the other hand i want to keep it. if i do mod the car i plan on nothing more than rims, maybe UAS and a SQ Audio system build.

Awesome find! This car needs a full detail anyway so start off with a Dawn dish soap wash, then clay bar, then compound then sealant, then finally wax. I usually just use Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit, Ultimate Compound, and just do NXT2 after that with really good results. I maintain the look with Meguiars NXT speed detailer or Prolong Waterless Wash & Shine and Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax. Also get some kind of fuel system cleaner like Lucas, Seafoam, or gumout to clean that new old engine out LOL! Good luck with the light restoration process.

DON'T USE DISH SOAP!!!

It'll strip the paint of the protective coating!

Use any car wash soap

wtf are you talking about?

its common practice to use dawn to strip old wax/sealants/crap off of a car when you're detailing it with all new product....

for an everyday wash, obviously not. but for a pre-detail wash, yes.

First thing I would do is check the tire manufacture dates. If those are original tires they are 17 years old and I would not b riding around on those.

I've corrected my post. I used the word 'from' instead of 'of'.

That is one amazing link to detailing your car. Props to our friend for being so meticulous.

hi guys!!! I just have a question. If this car was not driven so much, how come the leather seat are cracking up, and seem beaten up? But overall, it's a rare find, and if i were you, i would have bought it too.

It's possible for environmental wear to affect the seats (hot to cold changes, humid to dry, and especially sunlight and UV rays).

actually i think the seats developed that from the heat. it was in a car port and with no tint. but the seats are like brand new now. i've cleaned and conditioned the whole interior. i will post of pix sometime later when i make a build log.
