91 shakes at highway speeds

So I've had a similar problem. There can be lots of reasons. If you've had the tires rebalanced try these other cheap fix possibilities before getting into the mechanical stuff.
1) alignment
2) balance of wheels (if steering wheel and speed specific then it's front, if body shake and speed specific then rear)
3) brake drum balance/service (common if braking makes it worse)
4) tire pressure and seal
5) wheel corrosion/damage that causes wheels to become out of round**
6) transmission (easy to check, get to shaking speed and put in neutral, if goes away, that may be an idicator)
**this was my problem. They put the wheels on a spinner and showed me how it wasn't visibly round on two wheels. I didn't want to buy new wheels at the time so the guy at Les Schwab worked for an hour fitting the tires to the wheels in the best way possible and then put them on the rear to remove strewing wheel shake. There is still a slight shake in the body, but it's bearable while I save and shop for wheels. (tires are basically brand new and no wear issues)
My wheels are the Lexus chrome with gold package for the 95 LS400. Great looking but beginning to corrode and the gold is fading now. I have almost 180k on the car and it's been well taken care of. Probably just age and a few too many potholes over the years on those wheels.
