Fuel Injector Cleaners?
#16
They most likely used a fuel injector canister cleaner where they hook up to the fuel rail and disable the fuel pump. I'm glad it worked for you! Look at your paperwork and share what kind of fuel injector cleaner they used.
Also, if anyone is looking for a fuel system cleaner for the tank. Look for BG 44K. It cant be bought at the auto parts store but can be bought online.

Yeah, sounds like that was what they did. Total damage was $180, but WELL WORTH IT. They also did a throttle body cleaning for $19, but I already had that done 2 years and 10k miles ago, so I am sure the fuel injection cleaning was what did the trick.

I used to work for a shop and we had ultrasonic fuel injector cleaners... this is the only way to go as you could easily see the before and after perfomance as it automatically tested the flow and atomization... in my opinion....
Ultrasonic fuel injector cleaning and flow testing is the only process that can guarantee reliable and complete fuel injector cleaning.
Again, my opinion from my experience... your experience and opinion may differ from mine... and that's ok.

Before = ~13-15MPG average mileage (50/50 highway/city), I have never achieved more than 15.5MPG average even with 90% highway driving.
After = 17.5MPG on my last fill-up, (50/50 highway/city) still can't believe it.
The best thing is - THE POWER IS BACK!! The reason the gas mileage increased is due to the fact that the LS400 SURGES FORWARD with just a light tap of the accelerator, I never have to floor it. Before cleaning I must floor the pedal if I want any decent acceleration. AMAZING.

Or
