Default What Mileage are you getting?

Guys
I am a new LS owner.
I have been averaging 20 mpg on my 1990 LS with 213K miles on her.

I think thats pretty darn good for mixed driving freeway 20% , stop and go 80%.

What MPG are you guys seeing out there?

Good Grief ,,another DO A SEARCH!!. First of all Welcome to this Forum and congrats on your new car! They are great and I am a big fan and hope you will be too.!
I can relate to your response as I got the same crappy Greeting here too. Frankly it is rude and makes you want to go elsewhere . I am rather new to this forum and have blown up verbally here at this kind of response before and got punished by the authorities here and rightly so ,,as I was rude. New guys have posted here before and have the fat hairy hand in your face that comes across as saying ,,{Your a moron if you don't know what I KNOW**+++DO A SEARCH<<<<<<<IDIOT!! at least that is how it comes across to a new guy. That is how I felt at the time.
As to your question I have a 1997 LS 400 and get a best of 28 to 29 mpg on the highway and in the city,,well it depends how long your at all the stop lights,,lol but my average is 20 in the city. I have heard in the flat states there are guys that are getting 30 mpg at 75 mph. Remember the 97 at least had the second lowest drag coefficient of ANY production car at the time!! They can do real well on the highway.
I would do a search here and OTHER Forums to see what other's are getting.
Welcome to this forum,,,,other forums are out there too and there are many nice guys out there to help you.
Good luck with your new car!

it's rude to refer someone to the information they are looking for? that would make asking questions instegating right?

or maybe we should just start a new thread for every time the same question gets asked. i'm sure we all have nothing better to do than repeat ourselves.

PureDrifter, turboomni, BLKonBLK98: This "use search" battle is turning into a recurring issue much more serious than repeat questions and we need to put a stop to it. I ask you to please be polite to our new members and welcome them to the community... the back-and-forth arguing over search is driving folks away.

If someone asks something you've seen dozens of times either give them a helpful and polite response or don't hit the reply to thread button at all. I'm going to give you some template text you can copy / paste and add to if you wish to use it to save you time.

Welcome to Club Lexus (CL)! We have nearly 10 years of history on the forums and just about every question has been asked in the past many times. You can get instant answers with no waiting by using the forum advanced search feature from the top menu bar and targeting the LS400 forum.

Once in advanced search, select "LS400" in the Search in Forum(s) box and try a few different keywords up at the top left. It sometimes helps narrow the search results by using the 'search titles only' option under the keyword.

For example

"xxxx" found the following threads among many others.

Link a couple
of good examples

here is a direct link to search

Jcp90ls400, welcome to CL. Encore already gave you a great link to answer your question so I'm going to leave this thread closed
