i call upon all those bashing the US version to go watch the first 2-3 seasons of the UK version....

good things take time. it's too early to judge the US version as a flop.

The first episode of Top Gear US was weak, but it getting much much better.

On today's episode they completely ruined that poor LS!

It definitely takes time to develop chemistry between the hosts and they're already improving... IMO there has been a vast improvement this season since the first couple of episodes. Even though it's not as good as the English version (which it never will be) it's still by far the best American, car-centric television show by a longshot... I've tuned in every week and I'll continue to tune in for a solid hour of hooning.

Just watched it last night... pretty good episode. I think their chemistry is already improving. That rattle can job was brutal!

fifth gear is a whole different type of show, and for that reason pulls in a whole different crowd.

more along the lines of Automobile TV than top gear.

top gear us is alright cant beat the uk version more entertaining in my opiniont they are trying to hard to be like the uk version but just cant yet?...cant believe what they did to the ls..should have just left it white and just slammed it and put rims

Speaking of UK auto shows, what about Wheeler Dealers? I actually like that show. I thought the 1991 LS episode was pretty informative. I think that episode was archived on YouTube, via lexls. I think.

that's presently my "show of choice" for YouTube viewage. I got hooked when HD Theater put Wheeler Dealers on marathon during new years eve.
