Car started a higher level beeping sound when I turn off the car. No warning lights or other unusual observation noticed. ( '92 LS 400) Any ideas where this is coming from? Thanks!
On one of my older LS's, there was a little box behind the grille that made a sound for several minutes after stopping. It never hurt anything so I forgot it. it went with the trade...
If it is when you open drivers door w/o key in ignition it could be your sunroof is tilted a bit. Check to see if it's closed, ya might have tapped the button somehow by mistake.

While you might not have opened the sunroof using the button inside, on my 99, pressing and holding the "unlock" button on the key fob will roll the windows down and sunroof open. Might be worth checking by hitting the slide button to the close position just to make sure it's fully latched. I don't know if a 92 had the ability to roll down the windows and open the roof from the fob, though...
I have never opened the sun roof since I purchased the car. I doubt this is the problem. Thanks for the suggestions though.
I thought the same thing on my car. I never use the sunroof.
Somehow the button got nudged a bit and caused a similar alarm to sound when the car is shut off. The sunroof itself looked completely closed. It couldn't hurt to double check.
