Can I remove or relocate this....?
I'd like to remove the black 'vapor canister'box in the upper left but I don't know if it's possible or what the side effects might be. At the very least relocating it might suffice.
I'm trying to put 3-4 8" subs in the rear deck but I need some space.
Any thoughts?

maybe look into a newer tank that has the canister **** in it... i know there is as dif in tanks between the years. i put a whole in mine this summer when my box slid and pulled the power wire from my amp. An auto recyler will say they are all the same from 92-00 they are not there are 3 diff setups.
from what i was told, the evap system is different, part is in the tank and in the throttle body, all in the tank or all out. This is a 95 on the right and a 2000 on the left. Then they changed again in late 2000 i guess, pre-430? From what i remember and understood the full evap was in the tank on that one. that is prolly the one you want. It has a black evap coming off the top on the right side i believe. sorry dont have a pic of that tank to show you wish i did. All the tanks are the same size shape and bole pattern, just the guts and plumbing are different.
hope this helped.
another thing to try might be extend all the hoses and wires and should be able to move it to where the spare is

The only problem I've ever seen with charcoal canisters tend to be when they deteriorate and clog and cause excessive back-pressure in the system.
I still wouldn't really remove it. Relocating it should be a relatively trivial exercise. Just move it wherever it fits and if needs be, use pipe joints and plain old rubber hose or heater hose to extend the connected hoses. One should head up to a valve in the top of the gas tank, the other should lead to air. Nothing particularly high-pressure, corrosive or hot goes through here.
Cheers!
