Is this realistic for this time of year?
AN LS430 with the NAV is about $60K ($61K with the LEX LINK which most of Mark Lev/NAV pkgs come with but I have seen one without the LEXLINK)
Now it never hurts to ask, but is it realistic to offer $54 at this time of year? I've been offered $51,200 for a base model, which I don't want.

Based on my secret formula for pricing new automobiles (Don't ask), my calculations yield $55,600 as the optimal selling price for the 2002 LS 430, with Custom Luxury Selection package (LP).
End of the month, perhaps better.

Hmmm ... thats a tough one. Think I'd rather start looking harder for pre-owned 01's, White with Mark Lev and CA Walnut wood. Found a couple of 01's with a NAV at a very good price but both had the Birds eye maple - me do not like this wood.

Not really
LS430 sales are soft....even with its early production bugs, the New 7 is selling like hot cakes and killing the LS430....
My dealer was begging me to look at a LS430 last time I was in for service.
Personally, it looks like a big Avalon, but inside is nice.

First year bugs are common
Anyone who has had even a Lexus knows that...look at the starters that caught fire on 97 ES300s and Camry V6s, and the ECU problems with 98 GS400s and LS400s, and the water problems with 01 LS430s.
Granted Toyota's first year bugs are less than others, but I never buy a first year anything!
The techs I've spoken too in the BMWCCA say the current crop of 7's being delivered are fine.
I love the iDrive (I am a MAC user).

I'm sure the BMW 745 will have way less bugs and problems next year when they refine everything (as most cars do).

I just picked up my 2002 LS 430 last Thursday for $54,800. It has the Euro-tuned suspension with chrome wheels and NAV/Mark Lev package with Lex Link.
I was originally planning to trade in my E320 for a S430; but, after I test drove the LS I was impressed. It was a no brainer after I was able to get the discount - LS is a much better value.
I have put 500+ miles on it so far and just love it.

He just told me because I was discussing with him about asking about the 745 because my dad really likes them (even though he's a Lexus customer).

I personally like the LS430. I think its the best value car out there although tio m, it is a rather big car.
But I won't pay for a new one, especially because I'm desparate to Twin Turbo my '99 vette and there is no way I can have both.
