Default 1998 Lexus Ls400 airbag suspension failing

Hey does anyone know of any company or what I can do about my Lexus? All of a sudden when I was driving it down the road I started noticing it was sagging just a bit, but the next day it was fine...the weirdest thing ever.

Has anyone else had this issue before? Could it be the airbags going out? If so, how much did they charge you in the dealer?

Thanks

Hey buddy,

I want to help you out man. My Lexus Ls was leaking air just the same way. Hey don't be surprised when the dealer tells you like $2,000. At least that's how much they wanted to charge me. I almost flipped when he gave me that price. Have you tried Strutmasters yet? That's the company that helped me solve my problem.

Yup, very common problem. The air struts on these cars just don't last past 75-100k miles.
Search, will find what you need.

You can find used ones on Ebay all the time for $200 ea. Its a crap shoot as to the condition though. But if you are in a bind and dont want to shell out the cash to convert to shocks and springs, its an option. There is another thread recently where someone used "fix a flat" to repair their struts too.

Unless you want to keep on the bags, converting to a spring set-up will be the least $$. Be it stock or if you want a lower ride height.
