I replaced the alternator on my LS yesterday and I must say it was a real hassle to get out...I am grateful for having someone helped me cause there is no way I could have done this alone.

LS400BOY - I am shocked that you pulled it out from the top, I was debating whether to remove the radiator hose as I wasn't sure if it would splatter and make a mess.

Ya don't touch the sway bar. NOONE likes to be called a lier, especially when we are giving YOU advice that YOU asked for. EVERYBODY takes them out from the bottom. Ya take off the bottom engine cover, the serp belt, wire connecters, move the PS lines out the way, 1 nut 2 bolts and it comes out, with some twisting. NO mess. I took mine out once from the bottom (20 minutes) and when I did my first timing belt I got it out the top b/c everything else was out the way, including the PS pump.

please use something that resembles proper grammar in your posts, it makes reading them a lot less painful/irritating and makes many (such as myself) more willing to help rather than ignoring posts that are too much trouble to read.

you have several members with a fair bit of experience telling you how to do something, so logic tells us that just because YOU can't figure it out doesn't mean they're lying, it means YOU are more likely to be doing something wrong, rather than them BSing you.

be careful calling people out like that.

for the record, the alternator in the 1 and 2LS can be taken out either from the top or from the bottom last I checked.

WOW, here it comes. It's true, if ya don't type where people can understand then how is anyone supposed to give you the right advice? Ya gotta watch what ya say to the long time members if you want our advice in the future. Can't we all just get along?

LS400BOY, knock off the cursing and name calling. Please do not continue that in future threads.
