1st Generation LS400 GPS in-dash
Hey, Need some help.....
I was thinking about installing a GPS in-dash deal in my 1993 LS400. It is pretty mint so I am a bit hesitent to touch it since nothing has been done to the car and has so low miles on it and is pretty impecable, but sure would be nice to have a CD player and Navigation......
any tips? any pictures people can post of theirs so I can see what they have done. I am looking for a very clean look. Also do they have to have the antenna exposed and if so how did you hide that and if it has bluetooh did anyone come up with any good way to hide the mic the best as possilbe too??
any thoughts, tips or ideas would be great..
thanks..

The gps unit has been in the car for roughly 11 years. Just added the double din unit... Contemplating getting rid of the 2nd screen and getting the avic gps plug-in... At this point probably content not spending the additional $. I haven't gotten the Bluetooth yet buy I do have satellite radio hooked up to it. The gps antenna is on the trunk and very small. The satellite radio antenna is on the front windshield, driver's side, kind of tucked up under the edge of the hood... Pretty subtle.

I have GPS in dash and I just use my phone... honestly it's cheaper and more up to date with a droid/iphone... Also if you do go the in dash route you can get away with putting the GPS antenna on the dash at the base of the windshield...

Yes, you can disable the e-break on most after market units with navi/dvd combo which will allow you to view movies while not in park.
I have this done on my GS which is connected to my headrest monitors. Passengers and even other motorists will like this
