I'm a new LS 400 owner, actually I bought a 95 with only about 38,500 miles, Chrome aftermarket wheels, Nak, in dash CD changer, flawless exterior, Sapphire Blue. I sold my 93 MK 8, 4.6 liter DOHC V-8, Traction, moonroof, Cd...all the bells and whistles + that car hauled a$$. (Can I say that here). Only complaint was excessive door dings and limited back seating for my 2 sons, that I only have 4 days a month.
My dilemma is that now there is a 97 LSC, 290 HP Bright Red Metallic Paint, (My Dreamcar for the last five years) 58,000 miles, moonroof cd etc. on E-bay for about $8,000 less.
If I go trade, my payments will drop, and the two cars spec out remarkably close. 135 Lb.s weight difference. 1 inch wheelbase, larger trunk vs, gas tank, and so forth.
If I trade out of my Lexus after only 2 months will I regret it for 4 or 5 years? If so, Why? Or, why not?

I have a long history with Lincolns and Marks in particular my last two were Mark8s a 93 I had for 5 years and it proved to be a good car and gave great service with no major problems, the 97LSC I only had for a year before it was totaled but it was more refined and plush than the 93. I drove my 95 Sedan Deville for a year until I decided want I wanted next . I debated about buying another Mark8 but the Lexus was really in the back of my mind so this past october I brought a 94LS , I must admit I miss the 290hp the Mark had but overall considering the build quality and reliablity of the Lexus my vote goes to Lexus but if I could afford a small fleet of favorites I would have a Mark Viii in the mix.
BTW this is a great board with a alot of good information.
