By using the recommended Toyota coolant, you eliminate any second guessing of what if. It is the right coolant as accounted for by the engineers. In the end, saving a few $$ isn't really worth it.
If you plan on dumping the car soon, then no big deal. This is probably a big factor why so many threads started in this forum lately are dealing with half-azzed maintenance fixes. Proper maintenance would have reduced much of these issues when followed as scheduled. The previous owner took the attitude, "I don't care". That is sad.
So that ramble done, I say pick up a bottle of the Toyota coolant and have your tech do the drill. If done at Toyota, no worries but some shops have used green so make sure they will fill with Toyota red.
