No, really though, the only things I know about the two is that they're different chemically, they both protect against corrosion, its bad to mix them, and the orange is longer lasting.
Some guy at the shop told me its just a color no differeance??? But really would it hurt the car if i used green coolant on a lexus??????????????????????

The Toyota engineers would say their formula provides the necessary properties to maintain proper function of the various components. I've seen the reservoirs of enough Toyota's filled with all kids of different coolants. My Celica has had Prestone, Valvoline, Dex Cool and when I do this next round, I'll use Toyota. For the LS, it is just as easy to buy a jug from Toyota and know this is the Toyota recommendation.

guy at the shop is an idiot, the green and red and etc. colors are generally very different in addititves and base compositions. should NEVER mix them, and some are suited for iron/alum/plastic heads/intake.
