the cable was just barely long enough to go from the front of the car to the back without having to go through too much.
Got a similar situation on mine, too. I might go through the passenger side, but I'm doubting if I have enough 2 gauge wire left to make the run without splicing. Still looking for a suitable area on the driver's side. Just have to wait and see till I've stuck my head under the dash a few more times.

Just a word of advice if money is an issue at all. Before you start with the mods, might want to take into account you may need some periodic maintenance sooner than later. Engine mounts, suspension bushings, P/S, A/C service, timing belt. I found that learning and doing all of these yourself is just as rewarding as modding and will greatly improve the life of your ride.

Damn fatcat2, running the wire through the door hinge? Pinching it? You're putting money into the system so it sounds good, just buy a cable that's long enough to do it right. Eventually that pinch is gonna turn into a cut, then you'll be screwed.

that is a beautiful car, very well taken care of and your going to thug it out in my opinion. but hey do what you gotta do. if anything keep the Lexus wheels, not some gangster crap. the radio, lights, all that seems legit, but 20's on a luxury sedan? But hey I was dumb and ignorant when i was your age.

lol you do realize that most lux manufacturers offer 19-21" wheels as a factory option right....

i was thinking 19's so i can still have some tire girth for a smoother ride. All depends on what I happen to stumble upon when I'm in the market.

about the pinching of the wire, it doesn't really pinch where i ran it. very very minimal pinch if any. i check on it EVERY day to make sure its not getting cut since it is right there when i open the door and everything.

no worries on that part, im a do it yourselfer. only project im really iffy on would be the timing belt, but most of my close friends are mechanics and are more then willing to help me out. power steering feels like its mighty strong! did an oil change on it for the first time and only very minimal leakage! i was very happy with the look underneath with how old the car is. im still very very happy with my decision to go with this older lexus vs a newer car.
