You can have yours rebuilt.

I live in the San Fernando valley , Do you know of any shops that may do that type of work ?
I don't like to ask these questions either but does anyone know what I am looking to pay for this work too ? Maybe they would be able to help with the coil overs I am mulling over too ?

Can't say I know of any shops in the SFV area, but I'm sure you could source one out by calling around and asking. I believe I paid around $450 a few years ago for rebuild and labor.

An alternative whilst waiting for your steering rack repair:

except once the lack has a leak bad enough to require a rebuild it's totally useless...

If you're going to try the power steering stop leak additive, I would suggest first cleaning the solenoid valve screen (documented extensively on the forum) to reduce the pressure in the system. If it is a minor seal leak, I'd recommend trying AT-205 re-seal.
