my 0-60 times
1990 LS
141K miles
5/8 full gas tank
New TM plugs, caps, rotors, OEM wires, and fuel filter. (+K&N filter and 2.5" exhaust piping with 2 removed resonators)
Old times (4 months ago) avg was 8.96 sec
New - 8.92
Power brake to 1800RPM - 8.90
40-60mph - 4.73
Ok, so what's the deal here? I did 2 runs each with a stopwatch and tried as accurately as possible to get these times..My car is hella annoying me.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My 1993 Mark8 Lincoln screamed off the line compared to my 95 LS400. The Lexus doesn't have traction assist so the tires spin a little, but it's just never gonna be a scorcher, I'm afraid. Pretty nice cruiser though.

MeZoom. I guess you haven't been behind the wheel of an American DOHC 4.6 Liter 290H.P. V-8, have you? The Lincoln has juevos, It just ain't "America's Sweetheart" anymore. Quirky, expensive repairs and the often maligned Air-Ride Suspension really hurt Lincoln resale Values. But, do the arithmetic, it weighs 135 lb.s More than the LS400, has about the same CD. or Drag Coefficient, and according to which publication you believe 20 to 30 more horses under the hood. My LS just oozes down the road by comparison, plus the "original factory installed windshield" whistles at the top header from 80 MPH on up?? What's up with that? Does yours?

My Bad...I halfway thought you were talking to LvanGundy, but I wasn't sure. That is a lot of diligence to check his times. There are guys that committed on the Lincoln page too, just not me.
My old Pathfinder was a real screamer for the 1st 100 feet or so too. I prefer a car with longer "Legs."
I definitely feel like the Old Guy on these threads.

Well , here's my 2 cents.
Most of the stuff you did really is just maintenace items.
The "breathing portion" is probably good for 3-7 HP , but loosing
back pressure , i.e. resonators ,can have the reverse effect unless
you change the CAM SHAFTS for better breathing. The VVTi technology gets the same block to bump out 290 HP in later generation LS's.
The LS400 is a LUXURY CAR , design so from the beginning so it is heavy, geared for better mileage vs performance. Has 4 doors , etc. But if you are determined to get that beast to MOVE then consider the following...
I think the best bang for the buck is NEW GEAR RATIOS i.e. Differential with tall gears and/or the Perfornace/Torque converter
both are big dollars but will knock off time at the track , just about gauranteed, gas mileage will suffer.
The other thing is to lose weight , you know what I am talking about.
