ive did the 90k oil change but havent changed the timing belt... i also spoke to one of the techs at my nearest lexus dealer and he said a coil but wasnt really sure but today im going to exchange the ignition coil... is there a DIY on replacing coils??
OK, you did an oil change at 90K, your car now has 150K, have you changed the oil since 90K? If the timing belt hasn't been changed yet you better start thinking about that. The FIRST thing you should do is check to see if all the timing marks line up before doing anything, like running the car. If the timing marks don't line up, and it's still running, it jumped and it will ruin your engine if it hasn't already. (It's an interference engine) I don't understand why the car wouldn't start when you put the new coil on but it will with the old one. Also check your camshaft sensors (2) could be causing your misfire.
ok so went along and changed all the spark plugs and the car starts and run fine now for some reason plug #2 on both side were burnt out.....
thanks clublexus and all its members that helped with the repair.
yes im actually on the process of getting some money and time to get to the water pump and timing belt seems very time comsuming.... but it will be done soon...
