Need any helpful advice before I attempt to replace an injector...
I finally broke down and took the car to a good shop that I have had do "the tough stuff" before. (Like replace a starter) They diagnosed my hesitation/stuttering issue (after I threw $400+ in parts at it) as a bad #7 injector.
After everything else I have done on this engine recently I feel confident that I can replace this. While I am doing it I am considering pulling the top, I think it's the throttle body and the part it connects to, with the LEXUS logo, and giving that a good cleaning too.
I am just wondering what I should watch out for or problems others have run into when they have done this.
I know I can get to the fuel rails and all that but I have never removed the rail or the injectors but I have read a few threads on how to do it.
Couple things I am concerned about are.
How do I "de pressurize" the fuel system?
Do I have to drain all the coolant from the engine before doing this?
When I get to that point, do I remove all the injectors at once or can I just pop out the one injector that is bad and put it back in?
