Yup. The additive package is dropping in the Mobil 1 by then though it still is sufficient to do as necessary if one stretches it. 8-10K is nominal in ours and the filter is still keeping up. I don't cut the filters open. The analysis is sufficient to determine that excessive wear particles in the oil that are not getting caught/filtered. Within normal spec, which is the goal.
Sorry, no analysis data to post, long deleted and the one hard copy, I'm not about to type up and that was wayyy back in '02 or so when I did the baseline at 60K. I wanted to determine what is a good drain-filter replacement schedule in ours.
The JDM 90915-20004 is quite capable. I recall seeing data from the Supra forum that expressed similar and there may be past discussion in the GS section as well. Suffice, this is a well liked filter but a bit $ now.

it won't matter - just use the STP filter. the car won't know the difference.

I use Fram in all my cars including the antiques. Also in the boat and never had a problem.

Folks, are these two filters the exact same filter? They look IDENTICAL. In other words, does WIX make this filter for NAPA? If so, if I can get the WIX filter for $2 cheaper than the NAPA filter, wouldn't it make sense to buy the WIX filter? Especially if it is literally the same filter?
