I had one of their quick releases and it always came apart and had the spring release while the wheel was off the car. I have a Circuit Sports which is an NRG Knockoff but it works great with my Nardi/hub, no issues.

for one thing you've removed an airbag to install your new steering wheel/QR, and the hub alone has no safety features aside from existing as a way to control the car.
a harness bar, passive safety that it is, requires a fair bit more engineering to ensure it can withstand the extremely high forces encountered in an accident. this requires more complex engineering and more precise/QC during construction.
