Way to detect misfire?

after a few hundred miles, check your spark plugs again. maybe even now. if it is firing correctly, the plug should have little debris or deposits on the tip, tannish grayish. if the firing tip is BLACK with carbon, or sticky with oil (which shouldnt be happening on brand new plugs anyway), they are probably not firing correctly or they are very inefficient if they are. also if the the electrodes are stuck, touching, or not facing the wrong way, they will not spark. if you used platinum plugs, you MAY NOT file them down to fix their shape. will have to get new ones. but i am not sure that misfiring spark plugs is your problem.... good luck
