GVW of 4055 pounds is that of the LS.

you guys are all looking at the details instead of the whole thing....

that's a '98-99 Toyota Camry trim tag (complete) with a '96 LS400 VIN on it. something is amiss, could have been anything from an incompetent dealer tech post accident to a stolen car that was re-tagged for sale.

Just checked the VIN tag on my '97 LS non-air suspension. It showed 4825 GVWR. I would not imagine any ufc20 with or without air suspension to be much different. Any one else care to share their ufc20 GVWR? It's on the VIN tag on the drivers door jam (US cars). Lexus lists the curb weight at 3650 on most of these cars. That's pretty light for such a big ol' car!

curb weight is the weight of the car alone, unloaded.
Gross Vehicle Weight is the weight of the car loaded up completely to lexus' specifications (and a full tank of gas)

this sums it all very clearly... should not be any controversy over this.

Thank you for all your comments and analyses. I'll tell him to make it clear with the dealer. What a trick!
