Supra brakes on 91' LS400 not fitting. wrong hub reg
Hey folks
After seeing several putting supra tt calipers, rotors and pads on the ucf10 i decided to do it too.
Well im in the middle of the install now when i find out that the rotors have a bigger hub reg than my 91'
havent read that anywhere..
Well i bought ebc turbogrooved disc for front supra tt and for the rear ls400 95'. The rears also dont match my hub reg.
So what do i do now? Spend alot of money on this. Can i use metal tape and make my own "spacer" or will it not work well. Or can i get a machine shop or something to make a spacer or do i have to get hubs from a 93-94? That will mean buying more stuff and also i need to have a complete alignemt again
I can see here that i guess i have 60,05 hub for 91-92? and the 93-94 is 62,1.

I thought that all the Toyotas and Lexus in this age had 60,1 and that what i can find on other pages on the net. Its very misleading
Well its summer and i was hoping to get my baby out running this weekend. It have stayed in my garage for a few month now and i miss driving it. I want this done asap.
What would you suggest?

old toyotas had 60.1mm bore, newer ones had 62mm bores.
a simple (thin) aluminum centering ring to make up the approx ~0.95mm difference all around should be just fine. you COULD try your metal tape idea but make sure its ON there and the right thickness.a .2mm all around tolerance is probably reasonable.
if you were in the US i would just advise you to go to your local junkyard and pick up a could '93-94 spindles complete as it wouldnt be much $$y

I tried the metal tape. It took 8 rounds for the fronts to fit. I hope this can do the trick for now. I just don hope that i get my new brakes all screwed up and warped.
If i should have made an metal ring i first need to find a place. its kind of hard because im working alot in the daytime, so i only have the time after work to figure something out.
But also found out that the wheel bearings are slightly worn, making a little noise when i turn it and there is a little resistance. So on the long run i might be searching for some 93-94 spindles like you say. Just a shame i have to take it all apart again. But hey thats the deal when your're making custom modifications :-)

Yeah sure i have taken pictures all the way. still waiting for spacers and centering rings and then im going to paint the calipers so its going to be all nice :-) also grinded down the rusty dust covers behind the rotors and pinted them now when i was at it.
Does anyone know if i can add some new grease to the wheel bearings? I can feel a little resistance and a slight sound but nothing critical. But i might as well take good care of it while i got it all apart. Or should i buy new bearings? They are not loose or anything so i think they can be saved and a little grease can help alot.
