I edited it out.... but I fell for it

A properly-working cell phone poses almost no danger of igniting gasoline, even when surrounded by gasoline vapor with the optimum fuel-air mix for ignition.

The actual risk comes from an electrostatic discharge between a charged driver and the car, often a result of continually getting into and out of the vehicle.

If you having a problem filling up the tank, and you know your not at a full tank, there is something wrong with the EVAP system on your car. I don't just blurt out what part maybe a failure, but usually there is blockage in the onboard refueling vapopr recovery, or ORVR system, which is part of the EVAP. It's like sealing a room entirely, than pumping a gas in there, evevntually, you can only put in some much gas before the pressure builds inside the room, not allowing any more gas to be put in. Same thing with the fuel tank, once you start fueling up, you have to have somewhere for the vapors to go as the fuel gets sturred up. The sole purpose of the ORVR is to release the pressure from the tank when conditions like refueling cause excess pressure. If the vent of valve is closed, the pump senses too high of pressure and shuts off as it thinks the tank is fuel. Make sense? Good, take it to a professional.
