Default Aborted theft of car, now have door lock trouble

We noticed some tampering on the drivers side door handle, lock. 1991 LS 400

Now, when we try to open the car on the drivers side, the alarm gets triggered.

We have to open the car on the passengers side.

Second problem is that when you get out of the car and want to lock it, if the driver presses the button (inside car, on door panel) to lock all doors,
all but the passenger front door will lock. The passenger (if there is one) has to press their own door lock to secure the car.

So, how do I fix the alarm trigger problem and is the second problem directly related to the first or is it a separate issue?

there are many different threads on this, do a search and read up on them, and let us know if you are using the key or FOB button to lock/unlock...

I am using a key to get into car.

Any hints on search terms would be great, not very good at the search mode.

There is a switch on the end of the lock barrel this has probably been damaged or knocked off the barrel you need to remove the door panel and have a look in there, if you need to know how to remove the door panel have a look at www.lexls.com then select tutorials and search from there.
Also check the courtesy light door switch on that door make sure when you push it in the courtesy light goes out.
