We hate seeing the same questions over and over again. At least you do search for stuff, so answering this is no problem at all. You'll get better at searching. Your bf is a Honda guy? That aint no good. The Lexus engine is probably intimidating him b/c it's just twice as big as his. But it's pretty much the same thing, eliminate things that it can't be and ya can think better. Stick with it and you'll get it.

Yeah he has a b20b engine in civic. I cantremember the size, but its not anywhere near the power my car has, the civic used to be my car but it just wasnt fancy enough for me. I like cushy nice power everything cars lol. He has the general idea of v8's but has never worked on one. And he thinks its weird that everything is hiding under plastic covers in my engine bay i like it, keeps me from having to do another wire tuck lol. Im starting to learn where everything is is the engine bay the last few days andim picking it up quick, i just got to get used to actually working on a car. I never wanted to work onthe civic. And as a side note, i fixed my fuel gauge sending unit (thats what my bf told me it was called) located in the gas tank inthe trunk last nightthe reason the old one wasnt working was cuz someone had quick fixed it with a sutter home wine cork and a piece of funoodle plastic! Im amazed it worked as long as it did!

Update: due to the persistance of my bf, we replaced the fuel filter and put in some injector cleaner. Taking it for a test drive right now. Keeping my fingers crossed that her problems fixed.

Been driving the car the past 2 days without a problem! The fuel filter seems to have fixed my problem.

she told me her rpms are jumping up and down I told her to take her iacv off and clean her tip..then reset computer..

add to this guys if you know of anything else.

I told her not to take the iacv apart and to just clean the tip.only because i did mine and it made it worse and I had to buy a used one

Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Freinds wont help you? What do you expect from Honda people? lol We're a little more considerate here, sometimes.
I'll throw this up b/c I just posted it in another thread so it's still in my head.
Here's the specs on the coils (2) and how to test them;
Primary coil resistence;
Cold 0.36 - 0.55 Ohms
Hot 0.45 - 0.65 Ohms
Secondary coil resistence;
Cold 9.0 - 15.4 Ohms
Hot 11.4 - 18.1 Ohms
http://airtexenginemanagement.com/pdf/W15.pdf

Read through this also but check the coils first.
