You say the 3 bolts are loose? You mean the 2 bolts and the nut? The 2 bolts holding the upper control arm on need to be torqued to 83 ft lbs. The nut for the ball joint needs to be torqued to 48 ft lbs and the cotter pin needs to be put in or the nut will loosen up almost intantly. (b/c it moves so much) If you torqued the nut for the ball joint too much it can ruin the BJ. If the nut keeps coming loose I doubt if that happened yet. (but maybe) You should retorque the 3 to spec and put the cotter pin in ASAP. Don't drive anymore without the pin. After all this you're gonna need an alignment.

do you work on cars much? kinda sounds like you're new at this....

you did use a clicker or digital tq wrench to tighten all the big important bolts+nuts down right...

also, stop driving the car til you get all this sorted out...

ya my car still learning.no i don't have those tools which i need to get.well i made sure the bolts are tight,i need a alignment now.

no, you need a shop to make sure they don't come apart. go borrow/buy some tools from harbor freight even (get a ride) and make sure you don't total your car for want of $20-30 of cheap torque wrench...

Cotter pins are like cheap insurance that so the nut won't come off. A lot of ball joints don't have castelated nuts for pins to even slide into, but more to just stopping it from backing off, but usually these are Ny-lock nuts, lock washers, or sometimes in racing the use lock-tite. That being said, a ball joint nut should work it self loose, either it was never tight, the threads are stripped, or your not using the correct hardware. The right tools are very important, I'll do ball joints all day long with air tools, and no torque wrench, but I've been doing it for close to 10 years now. I have 3 torque wrenches in my box, but it's good practice to use the right tools, my time is money so I use fast tools.
