Your Opinions on Buying a 1994 LS 400
I found a 94 LS that has 117,000 on it. I have tracked it's maintenance through Lexus and it appears that the owner took great care of it. All scheduled maintenance through 111,000 miles except 90K maintenance. Highlights would be Trans and Diff fluid changed three times, Brake fluid flushed, Tuneup with spark plugs at 60,000, front sway bar bushings replaced, and lots of oil changes.
The last entry I can find shows the dealer checking the electrical system and engine. Shortly thereafter the owner got rid of the car. It has sat on a used car lot for four years and other than the occasional test drive or employee running out for lunch it hasn't been driven. The sales person I spoke with said the cluster gauges work but the cluster, radio, and climate control have no backlighting and cannot be seen at night. It is also starting to peel clearcoat on the hood. It sounds like the interior is in good/fair condition.
I can do all the work for the 90K maintenance myself, however I am not familiar with the cluster radio lighting issues but would give it a shot from the tutorials here.
The dealer is asking $4995 but the salesman said their bottom number is $4200. I'm a little concerned about the vehicle not running much in the last four years and the peeling clearcoat. I'm in no hurry to buy.
What do you guys think? Any input is appreciated.

NO...Leave that one where it sits and don't even look back. After the price, tax, title, and ALL the repairs that it needs you're looking at at least 7K. You would have to change everything that you mentioned, plus all the fluids, and everything else that you don't see now but you will after a week or so. Forget about it.
