UFC20/21 Trunk Accessories, Whats included in the spare tire well ?
I attempted to search for a previous thread related to this question but came up short...
In my spare tire well I have the tire & the bucket, the jack & handle stored in the styrofoam. My question is about the other cut out spaces in the foam closest to the bumper. I just want to know what is missing from this area ?
Also, are there any Lexus cargo nets available still or must I rely on luck at a scrap yard ?
...and I gotta say the trunk space on this car may be the least impressive part...
Thx

There should be a small back Lexus logo towel in the small cutout on the left. The large cutout nearest the bumper is for items not included in models sold in North America. An example is the collapsible wheel stopper included for European specificaton models.
And, yes, I've seen the cargo nets including the two hooks for the 95-00 LS400 fairly recently from online Lexus parts suppliers - I think for about $30. I bought mine from Sewell Lexus in Texas in 2003 - register with your ClubLexus member name to get substantial discounts.
Yes, trunk space is not all that good and of course got far bigger on the non-UL LS430 when the gas tank was moved to below the rear seat. Those who designed the trunk did, however, make it exactly just big enough to accept a standard wheelchair if its footrests are removed. The trunk is big enough to easily hold five standard rolling carry-on airline bags and a bit more. I've found it to be more than adequate.

The part number for the cargo net for my 2000 LS400 is shown on my invoice as 00420-50950. According to parts.com, the same part number is the $33.99 cargo net for the IS250: http://www.parts.com/oemcatalog/inde...id=20&model=LS 400
Here is a 2004 thread about cargo nets: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...cargo-net.html
Edit: here is the same cargo net for $24.58: http://www.lexuspartsonline.com/inde...&siteid=214281
And here is still another cargo net source for $31.99: http://www.lexuspartsmall.com/product.php?id=477

Thx for the quick replies. I figured it was for non USDM items. I did however receive the Lexus towel, it was in my tool kit...I tucked the handle under the spare, pulled out the styrofoam, it was attached by velcro, gained an extra sq foot of storage...
I will check that part # with a Local Lexus dealer...
Trunk space is decent, the opening is large enough but it does fall short when you get a couple of hockey bags in there...

hey pd...when I got my 91...it had everything.....the towel, the original "tool kit" including the screwdrivers and wrenches, the original unused first-aid kit.
I use the towel to cover my headunit in ....well....less than stellar areas......i tuck the top corners into the center console vents.
