Welcome to CL and congrats on the purchase. First thing to do, before any mods, is to make sure everything is in good working order. (Anything mechanical) The timing belt is a very important thing to know about, like when it was changed last. You have an interference motor so if it snaps or jumps your engine is toast. No sense having a nice looking modded car if it's just gonna be sitting up on jack stands. How many miles on your car, do you know the service history on it? Use the search feature at the top of the page and you'll find answers to all your questions and you'll get a boat load of info and ideas. This thread, all 214 pages, will show you just about every mod you can do to an LS400; https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...of-ur-car.html

I have had my 98 for 5 weeks now. Like the previous post said. 1st thing is check you timing belt. Most single important thing you do. I went with 18's/245/35's. Wanted to keep my ride smooth like a Lexus ride and keep my speed accurate. Added tinted windows and chrome pillar post. Next went with megaflow pipes. Nav&backup camera. Have all new Gold Emblems ordered. Should be here Tuesday. My next project is new wood dash kit, then I start under the hood. I have had other project cars but the Lexus is the most enjoyable. You have such a good base car to start with. Power, luxury, & style. Enjoy your mod project
